Benzalkonium Chloride Bac50 Benzalkonium chloride (BAC 50)  is a quaternary ammonium-based product. It can be used for the preparation of disinfectants, cleaners and timber preservation formulations and other similar applications. Benzalkonium chloride is readily soluble in ethanol, IPA and acetone. Although dissolution in water is slow, aqueous solutions are easier to handle and are preferred. Solutions should be neutral to slightly alkaline, with colours ranging from colourless to pale yellow. Solutions foam profusely when shaken. 100% UK manufactured product. It can be as high as 1:40 application depending. Spray and leave formula: Apply the solution to the affected area and leave it to work. If needed, the advised dilution ratio can be increased.
