Competition Powerlift Barbell 29mm Designed on the basis of the technical rules dictated by the IPF (International Powerlifting Federation), it is characterized by the high construction quality guaranteed by the materials, the treatments adoptedand the type of processing. The bar, made of special steel, protected by chrome plating, has very high mechanical properties, reaching the highest tensile and hardness values in tests. The adapters (disc holdersleeves), protected by high resistance chrome plating (hard chrome), have disc stop collars of only 12 mm and rotate on the bar via 4 large bushings. The knurling, also present in the center of the bar, is deep,volcano-shaped, 30 ° angle, with the markers positioned at 810 mm. Rather standardized construction solutions among high-end barbells for powerlifting, whose characteristics leave little room for customization by the manufacturer, bound by the IPF technical rules and by the mechanical properties of special steels which present imperceptible differences in stiffness and bending values. With regard to bending, the diameter of the bar (29 mm) being regulated, the maximum length of the bar (2204 mm) and the internal distance between the disc holder sleeves (1320 cm max; 1310 min), if you want to create a maximally rigid barbell, become inevitably it is necessary to comply with the minimum distance of 1310 mm between the sleeves, and to have very thin (12 mm) disc stop collars, in order to have the discs loaded on the barbell as close as possible to the athlete’s grip point. The rotation of the sleeves is entrusted to bushings, because they are more suitable for the type of work to which a powerlifting barbell is subjected. Analogous speech for the knurling; for years the “training competition” bars have adopted medium deep or deep knurling, with a volcano shape; the most suitable in ensuring the best compromise between high grip and not excessive tearing of the skin in daily use. The volcano shape also improves the action of the chalk which, by trapping itself in the “crater”, avoids the patina effect, thus optimizing grip. Safety tests and production controls are very important. The user of a 9015/2 COMPETITION POWERLIFT BARBELL (Competition Powerlift barbell) he is probably an athlete capable of important loads, after all the bar used has very high mechanical properties. Properties that represent absolute values but which alone do not guarantee the integrity of each individual bar. Hence the need to perform NDT checks (non-destructive) on all the rocker arms produced, in order to verify the absence of defects and cracks, cracks invisible to the eye that may lead to breakage. Each balance wheel is thus subjected to a set of diagnostic practices performed by an external company specialized in controls, which goes to our office to certify each single bar on which, for this very reason, a marking code is shown.
